In this exciting interview taken by GEMA Education, we dive into the journey of Atharva, Abeer, and Ria—the young trailblazers who’ve wowed everyone with their award-winning scientific breakthroughs. These Tiny little scientists are the perfect example of “age is just a number”. Beginning with, Ria, Abeer and Atharva introduced themselves, talked about their hobbies, interests and shared a common love for science. While Ria and Abeer also shared their passion for music and instruments, Atharva shared his fascination with thermodynamics.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
The award winning project was about lakes in Bangalore, Ria explained the concept of dead lakes, tests to determine the health of lakes, alkalinity and oxygen levels. They talked about receiving support and acknowledgment from their parents, teachers and fellow group members.
EXPERIENCE ABOUT WINNING THE AWARD
Winning the “Young Scientist Award” at such a young age was truly an “once in a lifetime” experience for all of them. Ria felt elevated, motivated, while Abeer felt the same and fixed his toy car, and made his family proud again. Atharva joked how he thought it was a prank but then was grateful and joyous.
VISIONARY AND INSPIRATION
The interviewer asked the kids about their inspiration. Ria draws inspiration from Marie Curie and her discoveries in Radioactivity. Abeer admires Vikram Sarabhai, the mind behind ISRO and feels extremely motivated by his struggle and hard work. Atharva’s inspiration is David Attenborough, which fueled his interest in science.
A MESSAGE TO EVERYONE
Our little scientists truly follow the “Never Give Up” mindset. They advise other kids to follow their passion, research deeply, gain knowledge and work like “sky’s the limit”.
